There are several steps in the fabrication process as catagorized in the following photos.
There are quite a few new techniques that I learned in the fabrication process of this project, namely the handling of soft materials, the anthropometry, and the ergonomic.
Base
The first layer of the wearable with webbings and buckles to attach the entire piece to the body. It’s sewed with several layers of leathers and fabrics as a thick base for everything built upon it.
Circuitry
The sensors and actuators and the 3D printed structure that houses them.
Assembly
Assembly of the two parts: base layer and circuit box. Adding the top layer of fabric and fiber optics.
Fiber Optics
Attaching one end to the fiber optic meshes to the led and shaping it on the body.
